DANCE UNITS / RESIDENCIES
Let us teach your dance unit! DANCEPL3Y Residencies are 4- or 5-lesson dance units that follow the Teaching Dance for Understanding model. The units allow students to learn more about the art of dance while developing dance skills, such a listening and responding to music and rhythms, learning sequences, creating choreography, communicating messages through dance, and preparing a final dance performance. Students use the Elements of Dance to create their own dance combinations and work in groups to prepare a dance performance that demonstrates their learning.
SCHOOL WIDE / COMMUNITY EVENTS
Book a special event to energize your school community with a high-energy dance workshop that gets everyBODY active! Options include 30-minute school-wide assemblies, school community events with families, or a Celebration of Dance performance to showcase dances learned during the residency program.
